Dieses Lehrbuch bietet eine umfassende Einführung in die moderne Elektrische Messtechnik. Behandelt werden: die Fehlerrechnung systematischer und zufälliger Fehler, die Erfassung von dynamischen Messfehlern und ihren Korrekturen, Geräte und Verfahren der analogen Messtechnik, wie z.B. Standard-Messgeräte, elektronische Messverstärker, Messbrücken.  Anschließend werden Analog-Digital- und Digital-Analog-Umsetzer sowie digitale Messgeräte beschrieben. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt des Buches ist die ausführliche Behandlung der modernen computerunterstützten Messdatenerfassung und Messsignalverarbeitung bezüglich Hard- und Software. In der 6. Auflage wurde der neueste Stand auf dem Gebiet der elektronischen Leistungsmessung aufgenommen. Dazu zählen insbesondere integrierte Schaltkreise für Smarte Energiemeter. Es ist eine DVD mit Übungsaufgaben zur rechnergestützten Messdatenerfassung und Messsignalverarbeitung sowie zur Programmierung von Speicherprogrammierbaren Steuerungen (SPS) enthalten. Via Internet kann der Leser eine am Lehrstuhl für Sensorik aufgebaute SPS programmieren sowie weitere Übungsaufgaben und Lösungen zu den Programmieraufgaben von der DVD herunterladen. Die DVD enthält außerdem eine Studentenversion von LabVIEW.   Das Buch eignet sich in Verbindung mit dem Werk "Elektrische Messtechnik/Übungsbuch" für Studierende der Ingenieur- und Naturwissenschaften sowie für den in der Praxis tätigen Ingenieur auch zum Selbststudium.

Superconductivity in materials without inversion symmetry in the respective crystal structures occurs in the presence of antisymmetric spin-orbit coupling as a consequence of an emerging electric field gradient. The superconducting condensate is then a superposition of spin-singlet and spin-triplet Cooper pairs. This scenario accounts for various experimental findings such as nodes in the superconducting gap or extremely large upper critical magnetic fields. Spin-triplet pairing can occur in non-centrosymmetric superconductors in spite of Anderson’s theorem that spin-triplet pairing requires a crystal structure that exhibits inversion symmetry. Nondestructive testing enables scientists and engineers to evaluate the integrity of their structures and the properties of their materials or components non-intrusively, and in some instances in real-time fashion. Applying the Nondestructive techniques and modalities offers valuable savings and guarantees the quality of engineered systems and products. This technology can be employed through different modalities that include contact methods such as ultrasonic, eddy current, magnetic particles, and liquid penetrant, in addition to contact-less methods such as in thermography, radiography, and shearography.
